The American Red Cross is not a government agency. Our programs
and services are funded through the generosity of the American
people. All American Red Cross disaster assistance is provided
without charge. It’s a gift from the people of our community,
people like you.
Contributions to the American Red Cross, a tax-exempt organization
under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are
deductible for computing income and estate taxes. For more
information please call our office at 715-344-4052.
Your cash donation is vital to saving lives. You may donate
to the Portage County Chapter in several ways.
1) Make out a check and send it to the American
Red Cross, Portage County Chapter at 3057 Michigan Ave., Stevens
Point, WI 54481
2) Set up a giving program to give monthly,
quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Call us and we can help
you do so.
3) Make a donation on-line to the American
Red Cross Portage County Chapter through the National
Red Cross web site. This is a secure server. Be
sure to select “Your Local Red Cross Chapter”
when filling out the form in order to have your gift
help locally. Your zip code will determine the chapter that
will receive your donation.
4) In-kind donations are most appreciated.
Please call us at 715-344-4052 for our updated wish list.
The Red Cross is normally unable to accept small, individual
donations or collections of items such as clothing, food or
cleaning supplies.
